Hi all.

I have Telecom broadband and have been thinking about getting the McAfee/TELECOM SECURITY SUITE.

But before I go any further was getting to get you :help: advise/option on this product.

I'm presently using Microsoft's suite and PC Tools fire wall.

Any comments greatly appreciated?

Ian:clap

No. Don't touch McAfee with a 40ft barge pole, it's rubbish.

If you don't mind paying for AV NOD32 is great, otherwise for a free one Microsoft Security Essentials is the pick of the bunch at the moment. I'd stick with what you have.

And on top of that, stick to only one antivirus.

Uninstall McAfee Antivirus, and make sure that you leave your computer switched on for the daily / weekly scan.

Cheers :)

McAfee/TELECOM SECURITY SUITE.

It's not Telecoms at all.
In addition the the AV you choose (based on recommendations here), you still need anti-spyware.
Spybot
Malware Bytes
Superantispyware
At least 2 of them.

Spybot
I tried spybot, didn't like it.

Malware Bytes
That's good.
Superantispyware
Unknown, but will have a look.
At least 2 of them.

Yeah I'll second wratterus opinion.

After having used MSSE happily for months now, knowing it was second in detections only to NOD32 by eset, I finally decided to grab the free 30-day trial for myself and my wife.

Where my wifes laptop would perviously hang loading certain flash games in the browser as the AV was scanning it, there's now almost no difference in load times between NOD32 and having no AV.
The performance for my gaming is superb, it never interferes.

Well worth the few bucks for an excellent Anti-Virus. I'm a convert!
