A mate of mine sent me this link,

Will show you GPS coordinates and address of your router from its MAC.
Scary what google did keep from wardriving.

Why is this scary? Your router broadcasts its mac address several times per second anyway...

For the record, Google isn't the only one who collects this data - there are a few other parties who collect it and use it for geolocation. One of the more prominent examples is skyhook (their database powers the wifi geolocation service on ipods / iphones etc).

As Erayd said, they're not the only ones. Same for your searching habits. They are however one of the few who let you see everything collected about you via the Dashboard, and you can adjust / remove permissions...

The one advantage of rural broadband I guess...
