Running the 'FIXMBR' tool from the recovery console should do the trick.

To remove Linux completely, just use any old partitioning tool to remove the partition, and then resize the XP partition back to fill the remaining available space. Make sure you use a tool that understands how to resize NTFS filesystems (gparted is a good one).

Might need to do fixboot and fixmbr from the recovery console on the XP CD

Will this just fix XP or linux as well?
I would like to reformat the linux partition and get back to one NTFS partition with XP still intact and booting (not my puter but my partners and I will be in all sorts of trouble if she finds I have been fiddling)
Code to enter in recovery console to "fixboot and fxmbr" ????
