Hi there guys,

I was playing SC2 and suddenly the mouse cursor turned to a pile of mess up pixels, nothing can save it, even if I quit the game the mouse cursor stays messed up until I reboot.

I searched on line and was told that it is a ATI driver problem, update it then it will be all good.

I updated the driver, it fixed the problem but now there is another more annoying problem: the scaling.

If you have a ATI card and HDMI, the first time u hook it up, u need to adjust the scale of the display to 0%, to get rid of the black edge on the display. I did that fine on my old ATI driver, and it worked fine ever after.

But once i updated it to the latest, I have to manually adjust the scale every time i turn on my computer, which is very very annoying. I tried reinstalling the driver, no luck, still does it.:badpc:

anyone having a similar problem? how do i fix this?

any help will be much much appreciated.

Cheers

Follow the instructions in post number 8 to do a clean driver install.

It normally fixes what ever random issues I'm having.

i dnt like ATI cards full stop, i bought it because the mobo was cheaper than nVidia chipsets at the time of purchase, and the cards are cheaper too...but i guess u get what u pay for.

Yes, well there wasnt much to choose from until lately! And you also have to deal with CF....!

Funny I don't have a problem with them and I've had several now and various drivers. Yes occasionally a driver has an issue but so do Nvidias..........

Try single card 1stswap cards, try to eliminate CF config, or any single card!

Best place to ask would be on that forum, it's an ATI fansite/community.

First place I go whenever I have issues is there, which is actually pretty rare.
