Andre Rieus should be charged with crimes against music, as should Metallica for that matter.

And those ( having been convicted ) should get a penalty of name suppression and a slap on the wrist with a wet Wgton train ticket.

Bit of a shame you can't get a train ticket either wet or dry very often as some of the trains have refused to move for various reasons.

I do note that the audience, who presumably paid for tickets, seemed to enjoy said concert in the original link.

He would be one of the top money earners in the entertainment world of any genre at the moment.

He is to classical music what metallica are to metal.

He is amazing! His orchestra doing zirtaki (the greek song) is worth listening to!

Yep. Once once more it has to be said that those in the audience seem reasonably happy too!

I heard he is ridiculously popular with deaf old people, and good luck to him he puts on a good show from all accounts.

The first and probably the last thing we will agree on.

Might have made more sense if he had conducted it in English.

and I couldn't find this DVD at the Whare - you sure about that Trev?

Well, I may be slightly old (in my 50's), definitely not deaf (unless I want to ignore SWMBO's question) but I still enjoy his music. At least all his music you can listen to, and it has a beat - unlike some of the cr*p you hear these days.
