"A worker at Foodstuffs' distribution centre in Hornby said up to $90 million worth of alcohol products had been smashed there. " http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/4102132/Food-warehouse-looks-like-dump

Thankfully nobody was caught by the shelving collapse. Poor design or assembly?

Sounds like it's probably safer to drink beer than the water, (which is always the case really, since everyone knows what fish do in water!!) so that really is a State of Emergency...

It is Canterbury Draught they are talking about, so this is a piece of good news amongst the gloom. Those who drink CD may try a real beer for a change, instead of that rubbish.

If Canterbury drinkers want to drink CD thats ok with me. Its all they seem to drink on the Chathams, if 2 trucks meet on a road its not unknown for the scabs to come off from a crate of warm (relative) CD.
I drink RTDs like Woodies now gone off beer.

Water could possibly be safe to drink, indeed, some may well have tried it :horrified , but why take the chance on introducing such a dangerous chemical into a delicate system like your body? Aside from the risks in drinking it, there is the problem of reduced supplies for fire-fighting and silt-sluicing duties.
Prefect, it may be hard to get drunk on beer, but we didn't get where we are today by giving up at the first sign of difficulty. Put in the effort and you will reap the rewards.

R2 can you till get that Danish Elephant beer? that used to tip me over, do you remember Lion Super on tap? a few jugs of that used to put me on my ear. I loved the stuff but it caused early retirements on the piss and funny that chicks arent interested in rooting with a guy crawling and chucking in the gutter.
