Hello - can someone please please help??!!

I use Kaspersky Internet Security and the free version of Ad-aware.
The system was ok until Kaspersky couldn’t update properly and wouldn’t roll back either. I did full Kaspersky and Ad-aware scans but this didn’t help. On the Kaspersky site I saw that the 2011 version had recently come out so decided to download and install it. Things seemed ok until I turned the computer on again later that day and found the mouse and printer didn’t work. The next thing was that while using the computer the Kaspersky 2011 ‘disappeared’. I found that I should have uninstalled the 2010 version before installing 2011 so downloaded and ran Kasperskys removal program but then reinstalled the 2010 version (by mistake from the shortcut that hadn’t been removed).

The error message for the USB drivers is :
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver maybe corrupted or missing - code 39.
The following have yellow exclamation mark :
Intel( R ) 8280 1FB/FBM USB Universal Host Controller - 2658
“ “ “ “ “ “ “ “ “ - 2659
“ “ “ “ “ “ “ “ “ - 265A
“ “ “ “ “ “ “ “ “ - 265B
“ “ “ “ “ USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 265C

I have downloaded and run - Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and TDSS killer. One of these found a Trojan.
I also downloaded and ran Uniblue’s registry booster.exe - It stated that my system was badly affected but I havn’t purchased it as I have no knowledge of this type of thing or if it can fix the problem with the drivers.
I have run windows/Microsoft updates. System restore won’t go back beyond the date things went wrong. Have also downloaded and run CCleaner and done another deep scan with Kaspersky.
In device manager I have tried - update driver, uninstall/reinstall driver, scan for hardware changes and troubleshoot

Here is my system info -

I also downloaded and ran Uniblue’s registry booster.exe -

You're making it worse.
Uniblue is bogus. Delete it.
Download Spybot - this should be updated and a scan run weekly at least.

Malware Bytes is also good.

That and Kapersky is all you need - Kapersky though will only be useful for viruses - the other two for spyware.
Also download and run Hijackthis and post the log here for Speedy to check over.

Once you have taken care of the spyware then you can worry about the drivers. You may need to download the chipset drivers among others from your motherboard manufacturers website.

Then reboot, then go to device manager, delete everything under the USB controllers entry. Then reboot. They'll come back

Then get trojan remover

Direct link http://www.simplysupersoft.com/download/dl/trjsetup682.exe

Update it if it can update. Then click on scan. Then select all options under the utilities menu. Whatever it finds, tell it to remove it. Then reboot

Hi Speedy
Did everything you said but USB host controllers still not working.
The trojan was Trojan.Agent/CDesc(Generic).
What can we try next?
Thanks

yes, disabled system restore, removed all the items as you said in hijackthis and then used the trojan remover.

Use ccleaner www.ccleaner.com

Install it (untick the yahoo toolbar thing), then run it then click on run cleaner. Close browsers before you do it

I could check with teamviewer, but you need 10 posts, so you can send me the ID and password in a PM.. Does it say you've still got it tho? You dont use Skype do you? Thats the only program I use, besides Mirc

have tried ccleaner previously but will run again.
the trojan was found by superantispyware and quarantined - should I remove it?
The trojan remover only found and removed this :
C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~2\KASPER~1KLOEHK.D

trojan remover removed kaspersky? Get teamviewer www.teamviewer.com install it then give me the ID and password. I'll log into it. And see whats happening

kaspersky is still running ok.
did cclean - unchecked recent documents in windows explorer section though as it looked like removing all my docs. Was this ok?
teamviewer - 171009317 - coronationstreet

Fixed. Kaspersky (KLFLTDEV.sys) was screwing (probably blocking) the USB ports from working. It was under upperfilters in the registry...Deleted it. rescanned for hardware changes USB entries came up with no errors

Sweet, you can turn SR back on :) I would use something else besides Kaspersky tho... Uninstall it
