I have a USB device that is branded mircosoft with model number: 1350. Does anyone know what it is?

Plug it in and see what it says. Go to device manager after you've plugged it in. If drivers don't install, dbl click on the details tab change it to hardware ids, copy and paste what it says here in here

Looks like a BT or IR receiver so could be for a wireless mouse or KB?

Its a Bluetooth adapter, most likely came with a wireless keyboard or mouse

lol, once one persons said it, everyone else is a spammer but i also say its a mouse. could it also be a bluetooth adapter? my laptop can connect to bluetooth devices and it might do the same.

I say it's a bluetooth radio because of the size, but it may be specific to a certain keyboard and\or mouse due to the Microsoft logo.

I have that exact same receiver here for my Microsoft wireless Arc mouse that i use on my laptop.
