Is our Prime Minister a hypocrite (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10663202), or ... ?

No he is not.
The MP is just being honest saying what he and lotsa maoris think.
No different to lots of White Caucasian European New Zealanders who may think it but would never say it openly.

Anyone who thinks like Hone does is betraying his heritage after all most so called Maoris have some European heritage as well.

He is only contributing to the current gap not assisting to close it.

Im with Arnie, shoot Hone, and hug all the other Maoris :)

The Street-interviews at the bottom of that article sum things up very nicely. Marriage / Dating isn't about the persons race, skin color, religion. It's about finding somebody you love, who loves you, who will treat you right...

You have to RESPECT hone.

He is, what most maoirs are, raceist.

The difference betwen him and most others, is that he has the guts to stand up and say it.

What's Hypocritical about key labeling him "ridiculous"?

Quiet a diplomatic comment.

Always amazes me when so called Maori have mixed race offspring ,they instantly become Moari

If the other partner was European why could they not become European offspring?

I too respect those who are bold enough to stand up and say it ... those hypocrites - hide behind the curtain and put up a false front!

We dont want the commie labour party back in.
I aint none to happy with Key when they raised the drivers licence to 16 my oldest son just might scrape in on his 15 birthday.
If he doesn't make it his birthday is Dec I will vote Act or NZ first.
Pretty sure rich white kids like the Keys woundnt bring a maoris back to house in Remers.

It's not YOU, prefect, to decide which party should be in the beehive, it's the people of NZ!

Anyway, I do not foresee that Labour can come back simply because they're having internal power struggle problems and I don't see any one who has the leadership quality in Labour who can lead the party like Helen Clarke did.

I don't like this rich man's party (National) especially under this multi-millionairre PM J Key. However, I like National under the leadership of Jim Bolger.

I think the person who leads the party is more important than the Party itself. Labour and National are very similar in many ways. It's their leader that matters.

As prefect is a person of NZ then it is up for him to decide. (at least be part of deciding)

Why are you always picking at prefect's political points of view? This latest comment of yours doesn't make any sense.

No do some of prefect's. He hates communism and socialism yet as far as I can tell he runs a school (subsidised) bus service so the socialist's money must be OK :D

Thanks for the support DemonHunter.
What do you mean school bus runs are subsidized? what you want kids to walk 20 km to school?
If the government makes you send your kids to school the least it can do is convey them especially in rural areas.

When does it ever?

Prefect and I agree that we don't want a commie lot in again, but we disagree on Key,whose philosophy is a mystery to me,largely because he doesn't appear to have one, apart from wanting to be all things to all men.

I knew the first (he is a slimeball), I wasn't by the second as I knew it would be a given anyway
