what music is best is extremely subjective because it comes down to what people like.

i for instance like the work of john frusciante but others may not.

much like some will not like the stuff you consistently post about.

its whether others like what you like or not.

me for instance:

RHCP
foo fighters
led zeppelin
pink floyd
30 seconds to mars
oasis
ataxia
the mars volta
paramore
etc etc

the list goes on......

Yeah, taste in music is subjective man. Though I can tell you most of the stuff they churn out these days are tripe. Maybe catchy, but tripe with no soul nonetheless.

Can't really pick any of my favourites, but I find these two songs very listenable:

Jackdaw by David Gray (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKKB3LqBLpk)
But, Honestly by Foo Fighters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH2az_j1pLU). One of the Foo's best I reckon.

Favourites at the moment are Amish Paradise, White and Nerdy and Alejandro (Lady Gaga).

goodiesguy, it feels like you push your opinion around too much.

I don't know why but every time you post I sense... lance4k.

Edit: Ok, sorry. I think it's the way you type that reminds me of lance. Don't mind me... :(

Don't think I'll bother posting a bunch of rock bands for all your oldies to frown upon. So instead I'll post two Youtube links. One is more about the video itself, the other is just amazing.

anything by Slade
woot Slade did for me when I was young. Good shizza!

Now that I'm supposedly more mature I still lurve the old stuff... Pink Floyd, Led Zep. But some of the contemporay and alternative stuff is also good. And of course Vangelis is the master of music.

Slade still do it for me here was listening to 'Till Deaf do us part this morning the full album. My favourite still has to be Slade on Stage though they were an awesome live act. Man oh man those clothes though especially Dave Hills clothes and Noddy Holder's mirror top hat years before Slash from the Gunners got one. Friends of mine used to have a sister who lived near the top of the pops studio and they used to tell tales of acts being wheeled onto the stages using sack barrows due to not being able to walk in those platform boots
