Hi

Is it possible to dual boot Mac & XP on the macbook pro? on the macbook pro i already have snow leopard setup, if possible i want to setup xp without disturbing the snow leopard.

yup, bootcamp that sucka... go to utilities folder and launch bootcamp, follow the wizard.

i followed this guide http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/01/15/using-boot-camp-to-install-windows-7-on-your-mac-the-complete-walkthrough/

But step 13, having disk removed machine boots up but instead of launching windows setup, it boots into mac os

OK, your explanation is not that clear.

If you have not started Windows setup, hold "D" when you power on the mac to boot from the CD.

If you have run the initial setup (from the disk) and are now on the first reboot part of setup, hold down "option" when you power on the mac and then select Bootcamp or Windows from the boot selection menu.

So you have windows installed? but can't boot to it?

If this is the case,hold down option key when starting machine. this will bring up the boot screen

If you want an easier way to use them look into getting parallels 4
