What do people recommend in the way of anticrash programs?

simple, NONE. whats the point of using them. they chew resorces and save very few crashes. your better of fixing the actual problem rather than using a bandaid fix.

go arm your self with some good diagnostic, cleaner and repair tools.

But as tweak'e said their a waste of time, just like memory defraggers and all the other rubbish out there.

Norton tried this with Crashguard but caused SO many problems its no logner included with their SystemWorks. If blue is your favourite colour then try it otherwise don't bother.

Or if you don't like the blue screens you can change the colour with XSetup. I have a lovely Lime green on red. :-)
