Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of trading in my HP DV5-1209ax for a Asus N61JV-JX002V. JustLaptops in Auckland said that they will cut $700 - $800 off the Asus if I trade in my HP Laptop for the ASUS.

Here are the specs:

I have a few questions?

What do you think of the deal? Is JustLaptops a trustworthy store? Is ASUS a good brand for Laptops?

Totally agree with you. I hate it how the battery on my HP only last for just over an hour (even when HP replaced it with a new battery, I still had the same problem).

The ASUS I'm planning on buying has NVIDIA Optimus Technology (it's like switchable graphics) so if I'm doing work related material on my laptop at Uni for example, the battery can last up to 3 hours.

I'm also looking forward to the Intel i5 processor and USB 3.0.

Now I have to wait for my wages so I can pay for the laptop........which is taking a while to process to my bank account

That's a sexy laptop - sounds like a great deal to me. Got a mate who has dealt with just laptops a bit, and they have been pretty good.

Haha. Thats good to hear about the store that I will purchase it from. I was about to buy the a Sony Vaio with an ATI HD 5470 but it had a Intel i3 processor (which I've heard some crap reviews about this processor)
Also, the ASUS comes with a 2 Year International Warranty :) compared a Sony 1 Year Warranty.

The laptop specs state that it comes with "USB 3.0 Superspeed connectivity"

Will the USB 2.0 External HDD data transfer rate speed up or will I need a new external hdd to optimize the use of USB 3.0.

I've got e-Sata on the external HDD but USB 3.0 would be good to use on on USB 2.0 HDD? My e-Sata slows my laptop performance (I'm not too sure if it's my laptop's fault or if it's normal for e-Sata to do that)

Cheers
