View Full Version : Re: corrupt .Cab files

I'm posting this query because David can't even get his PC running let alone get online. Frank, this is occurring with any and all CDs with .cab files, dirt isn't a problem. Using his daughters Win95 CD gets the same results. Files can't be found, upon boot-up straight after installing, it's just a shambles. I'm lending him my Win95 on floppy tomorrow to finally rule out a CDROM problem. I feel it's a virus as a lot of time is spent online by his kids and they could have easily brought one on board. Does anyone know of a virus that attacks .cab files? His virus checker is a bit out of date. The hard drive checks out fine, no bad sectors.
