Just upgraded from vista to windos 7, with a fresh new harddrive, and already im getting a similar BSOD problem as i was having with vista :(

Looks like Kaspersky anti-virus is crashing it. Dont install it. Uninstall it, then install something else. Thats what klif.sys belongs to

got a good recommendation for decent antivirus for 7 64x ?

You can use Microsoft security essentials. But the version of windows you've installed has to be legit. Since it validates it. Or Avast. Or if you want to pay for it, NOD32
