Hi All,

I was wondering where I could get an analog socket for an ati radeon agp graphics card. It is one of those cards where you plug the plug in to the card as opposed to having it built in.

Never heard of an analog socket

they mean vga i think, judging by the image.

couldn't you just use a dvi->vga connector?

I meant vga. i already have a dvi monitor and i want to run a second monitor off it.

Isnt the other connection on that card VGA? If it isnt what is it? If it is, connect another monitor to it, and configure CCC, so you get a picture on it. However, you may not get a different screen. It'll be the same screen you're looking at now with DVI (or an extension of it)

the built-in connection is dvi. when i first got it there was a plug with a cable connected to the video board, which was vga.

Yer so whats wrong with the VGA connection then?? All you have to do, is connect a monitor to it. And you'll have 2 monitors

No, more like the one in the pic, but only for ati cards.

Ah, right. Probably getting a dead card off trademe, or just buying a second hand card is going to be the only way around this, I don't know anywhere in NZ that would sell those.

This I think (http://www.xpcgear.com/vgaext.html) but I have no idea where this place is. Now we have to figure out WHERE in NZ you can get it
