Data is for July 1 to Dec. 31, 2009. Google said that in addition to censorship, content removal requests from governments include instances of alleged defamation, hate speech or identity impersonation.

Yes it does

I like this - when you use the Google tool (http://www.google.com/governmentrequests/) and go to China, the text reads "Chinese officials consider censorship demands as state secrets, so we cannot disclose that information at this time."

Even the censorship requests are censored!! So much for Google transparency...

Even the censorship requests are censored!! So much for Google transparency... No it doesn't - This is what FF says (http://www.imagef1.net.nz/files/Link1271899123.jpg) you have to alter the actual link to get it to work correctly.

Link is fine Wainuitech. Just cause you get a warning of a possible security issue, doesn't stop the link working...
And I love the Chinese total censorshop!

Just tried it again at 4.12 - works now wasn't before. Maybe they have Mcafee

The scary thing is that NZ censorship is about the same level as Russia. I think that just ain't right.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? The level for New Zealand is <10 which is the lowest level reported.

As above its less than 10 which could mean 1, Aussie is like 17 why are you picking on NZ?

And Russia is no more of a "fascist dictatorship" than the US, and yet the US has 123 !!, so why the Russian stereotyping?
