i've got the eset 4 firewall on


the windows firewall is off, should that be on or is the eset one enough?

One firewall at a time is the sensible rule.

If you have more than one, they may fight with each other, giving you extra problems.

Although, are you behind a broadband router? Chances are that you're behind NAT, which naturally protects you from a lot of attacts.

I find windows firewall very good. As amatter of interest.!

so you have it turned on aswell as the AV firewall cicero?

I use the firewall in Win 7. I don't use a third party one. Also I didn't use a third party one when I was running XP either.

W7 firewall is 2 way & is Ok.

XP firewall is incoming only. Does not stop spy-ware etc from sending messages out.

I prefer to use Comodo Firewall & Microsoft Security Essentials.
