Hey, I'm wanting to upgrade from my Dell Dimension 3100
Would appreciate any help/advice on the current build I'm looking at.
With the components I have at the moment my budget is pretty much maxed out

CPU: Athlon II X4 630
MOB: Gigabyte GA-MA77OT-UD3P
HDD: WD Caviar Green 1TB
RAM: KINGSTON ValueRAM 2GB DDR3-1333
CASE: Cooler Master Elite 333
PSU: Cooler Master Elite 400W
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 4650 (Still looking for the best card I can find for around $100)
OPTICAL: Samsung 22X DVD Burner SH-S223F
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

The computer is mostly used for Web/downloading, lots of photo-editing, and music.
I don't really use the computer for gaming but, I would like to be able too should the need ever arise =P

This would be the first Computer I've ever built, but I'm fairly confident I could manage.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Fine, although I would swap the PSU for a Corsair.

Don't Corsair PSU's give that whiny, squeeky noise?

I'd probably up the PSU to ~600W just for future proofing. If you decide to add extra HDDs or upgrade the video card, then 400W is getting tight in a modern system.
The Corsair HX620 is pretty highly regarded. Other PSU brands to consider: Seasonic, Antec.

My HX750 doesn't.

My HX750 doesn't.

+1

Always use them in most builds. Never heard a whine ever.
