Ok running win 7 64 bit
When I transfer a file say 4gb to my 8gb usb drive it says file to large for destination.
I have tried formatting the drive everything but it still wont frikin work
Now what worries me is that I have a 1Tb drive full of files and I wanted to transfer something onto it, but I got the same problem, so my natural instinct would be to delete something the same size if not bigger than the file I want to move to make up enough room so I start deleting stuff on the Tb drive and it doesnt show that there is any more free space even though I ended up deleting like 100gig
Sorry for the rambling please help

Its probably not NTFS, format it in NTFs.

Also make sure it's not using space for Readyboost.

Regarding the USB drive issue - the problem is it'll be formatted as FAT32 at the moment, which has a max file size of 4GB. Your file is probably slightly over the limit.

Reformatting the drive as NTFS, as Pctek suggests, should fix this issue, as NTFS has a far larger max file size.

Altho, if you do format it in NTFS, if it can be used as a bootable disk, (and you've used it for this before), it may not work now
