Take a look here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screencast#Software) - the term you're after is screencasting. There are numerous programs available that can do this for you - some are free, some are not.

You could try a trial of Snagit (http://www.techsmith.com) it has a screen recorder function

Have found it quite handy in the past for building up little instructional videos.

Whats the OS ?

Windows 7 has Problem steps recorder, you click on start, type in ps open Problem steps recorder -- Open the page or do what ever and it records it to a file that can be sent to someone, as well as records all actions.

Some online screen cast tools allow different formats for saving, and direct upload to YouTube. Screencast-O-Matic (http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/) is one such tool, and others are reviewed here... (http://www.labnol.org/software/compare-online-screen-recording-tools/9454/)
