View Full Version : Windows Instaler error installing Test Drive Unlimited on Win 7

The other day I went to install Test Drive Unlimited on my Win 7 Pro, however it won't install. I first get an error 1335 with a message that my .CAB file is corrupt, and then an error 2350. A quick search and I find these are apparently Windows Installer errors, and recommended to update my Windows Installer, however I don't know how to do that in Win 7 (everything I found talked about Win XP or Vista, including the pages on Microsoft.com)

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike.

Is it up to date?? Since there's been a few updates that fix compatibility with some games / programs. One's from today. Edit: you may have to wait (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistagaming/thread/a8ea735f-16f9-4db1-9354-00d73256f2c4). Or install XP mode, if your CPU supports VT

Or install XP mode, if your CPU supports VTI assume you mean is Windows up to date? Yes (other than today's updates, which are installing now).

I had seen that post about TDU compatibility, however had read in many places that it works fine, and so am hoping I can just get my Windows Installer working to install it. Otherwise I guess I will have to wait for a patch or whatever when it's made Win 7 compatible so I can install it (if that is the cause).

Unfortunately my CPU doesn't support VT, so that's not an option.

Cheers,
Mike.

According to MS, it doesnt work, and wont until they release an update to fix the compatibility. Or go to whatever site (whoever made it). And see if there's a patch or something there
