This is no longer located in C: etc. Tried method here (http://forums.dearwandy.com/viewtopic.php?id=28465) but it didn't work.

So what folders, are you trying to delete?

Try this (am assuming you're trying to remove locked files, works in 32/64bit (unlike Unlocker)).

They are actually empty folders, I deleted the contents/files with disk cleanup but it left the folders but when I try to delete the folders a message pops up saying " This is no longer located in C: verify the items location and try again." The files are no longer on my computer as disk cleanup put them into trash can which I emptied. There are 15 folders in the main folder with a total size of 950kb. The files in the folders weren't system folders or anything like that which would affect the running of windows. This is more a curiosity more than anything and am wondering why I can't delete them.

Have you rebooted, since trying to delete them?

HAd one folder like that last year - I could rename it, but do you think I could delete it or change its permissions :( Ended up booting with Ubuntu live CD and deleting it that away.

Have you tried 'shift-delete' to bypass Recycle Bin?

Ubuntu did the job. Thanks Wainuitech.
