Hi All

I have an XLS here that has the three parts of a bank account number in seperate columns.

I want to be able to force the first and third columns (bank and suffix) to be three digits, e.g if a number in a column is '0' I want it to be "000". There are of course some suffixes which are two digits and I need these to be three digits with a leading 0 as well.

There are hundreds of rows so not keen to do this manually.

Does anyone here know of an easier way?

Cheers in advance for any help.

I found the answer with my freind Google.
I should have known this already...forgot.

1) Select the cell in question.
2) Click on Format->Cells
3) Choose "Custom"
4) Type 000 into the box (where it sometimes says General) and click "ok"

This will add leading zeroes to any number to ensure the value is always 3 digits.
