View Full Version : Uninstaller/cleanup utility for Win 7 64 bit

Hi all

I used to use Revo Uninstaller
on my old system, which was great.
But since I got my new system, which is Win 7 64 bit, I can't use it - as native 64bit support is only now available with the paid version. (Yes I know, I could pay, but I'd prefer free)

Anyway, today I came across Absolute Uninstaller by Glary Utilities http://www.glarysoft.com/absolute-uninstaller/#
which seems to support 64bit and is free.

Wondering if anyone else has used it, and if it's good or not?

I'm after something that will clean up the leftovers (files, registry entries, etc) that the normal uninstall misses. (And *only* that stuff, not other files that should stay!)

The free version should still work in 64 bit. Since 32 bit programs will still work in 64 bit. It just wont do what the 64 bit version does

Well to be honest I didn't download and install Revo, as on their page (Here: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html it says, down the bottom, free version 32bit systems only

Game Junkie, do you have the most up to date version of it? And confirm it works fine with WIn7 64bit?
As I wonder if this is just a recent change Revo have made that only affects newver version?

Great, I'll install it then.
Probably just misleading wording "32bit systems only" they've used on their website to try and get people to upgrade to the paid version :)
