I put one similar into a customers New PC last year - as far as I know it works OK - no complaints anyway.

Edited: The guy gave it to me when I was building the PC, asked me to install it - so No idea where the got it from.

Can you remember how long the connection cables are? Would they reach a motherboard in a full size case?

I asked modster about this a while ago. On some of them, the cables extend right to the back (ie: for the audio) you have to plug the ext cables into audio in / out and mic. For the front panel connections to work. Likewise if you have something like firewire on a bracket on the back of a case. Just plug the firewire ext cable into a spare connection. And its all go

The guy just handed it to me in a plain box and asked me to fit it - I didn't really take a lot of notice of the brand etc.

Only One I do remember having problem with was one of My own card readers, the cables only just reached and no more.

Yeh I looked at the Vantec one from ascent but it looks awkward to me.
That one on trademe has no fan controller.
