Hello there

First time poster here. Im using a Dell PowerEdge SC420, due to work, Im planning to upgrade the amount of memory in my dell from 2gb to 4gb. I know I need a 64bit OS, that is no problem. The issue that Im worried about is I dont know if my CPU can support 64bit OS. If possible, can some one please tell me if my CPU is a 64bit CPU so I can upgrade to a 64bit OS.

Here are the info I obtained from System Info for Windows, an application that I was recommended:

Motherboard:
Property Value
Manufacturer Dell Inc.
Model 0X3468

Chipset Vendor Intel Corporation
Chipset Model E7220/E7221 Memory Controller Hub

CPU Intel Pentium 4 HT
Cpu Socket LGA775
Processor Upgrade ZIF Socket
Max CPU Speed 4000 MHz

CPU:
Property Value
Number of CPU(s) One Physical Processor / One Core / 2 Logical Processors / 64 bits
Vendor GenuineIntel
CPU Full Name Intel Pentium 4 HT
CPU Name Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz
CPU Code Name Prescott
Technology 0.09
Platform Name LGA775
Type Original OEM processor
FSB Mode QDR
Platform ID 4
Microcode ID 17

I know in the info says 64bit, though I've also heard some Prescott CPU are not 64bit, can any clarify or confirm this for me?

Thank you for everyones time.

Should find your processor in this list.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_4_microprocessors

CPU-Z is good for id-ing your specific CPU

Use CPU-Z as KD suggests. If I remember correctly all Prescott P4s, which your CPU is one of, does support Intel 64. Just look up CPU-Z and see what your CPU's model number is, then try matching it with the wikipedia list.
