View Full Version : Really weird Network problems

Hi everyone

Already had a thread on network problems but it hasn't been resolved and just recently has been getting REALLY bad.
Just today between 8-9am the connection would cut out every 5min or so (even on a wired connection being the only one going).
At the moment I am thinking it is a lines issues as many things have been tried to solve it. (At the moment lease times on the wired connection is 2hours and my PC 1 hour so that shouldn't be a problem).

Id keep it to one thread people dont want to read three threads to get the story.
Did you buy the dlink pci wifi card?
Can you borrow a spare router from some one.

um well this is kind of different to the other thread as the ideas suggested worked. But since then it has recently got worse.
Yeah I got a DLINK Rangebooster card which has helped my PC's connection heaps but even the wired connection has problems.
Probably could borrow a router, but I think it is either the router or the lines atm.

Look in the router config page and see if the line is dropping when you lose internet. Probably you are losing ADSL sync.

If you are, call Telecom (or whoever is your ISP)

ok I've got access to the log on the modem page but it won't let me save it.
I also found the MSDU's and thought that might help.
Failed MSDUs 13251
Retry MSDUs 13251

The log is from the 4/01/10.
Haven't rung ISP (Vodafone) or telecom yet but probably will tomorrow.
