Hi all

I'm having problems getting the 64bit version of Java installed. I seem to be going round in circles on the java website.

According to this page here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml

It says to install both the 32bity and 64bit version if you will run both a 32bit and 64bit browser. Which is what I am doing.
I have been able to install the 32bit version fine.
But the link on that page (under Java for 64bit Internet explorer heading) that links to "64bit manual download" doesn't seem to give any Windows 64bit options - just the online and offline versions of normal windows installations.
I have tried the offline installation, but all it seems to do is uninstall and reinstall my 32bit java, it doesn't install the 64 bit version of it.
There doesn't seem to be a link or download anywhere for a 64bit version.

Has anyone been able to do this successfully?

(BTW, I'm running Win 7 Home Premium 64bit)

Thanks!

I am running 64 bit win 7 with 32bit Firefox and Java. When I tried 64 bit FF I could get addons to work but not plugins so no java or any other plugin hence why I am on 32bit FF

Just use 32 bit with a 32 bit browser. Since there's no 64 bit flash. I tried 64 bit FF. It kept freezing, so I biffed it
