am looking at moving to 64bit W7 soon and was wondering if anyone has used this program in 64bit windows?

am using it on 32bit vista but cant find on their website a 64bit version.

would i just run it in compatability mode or XP mode inside 64bit 7?

cheers

Most 32 bit programs will run in 64 bit without probs. Its drivers that HAVE to be 64 bit not programs

A few programs I know that dont work in 64 bit (yet). Trojan Remover is one. It will install but it wont be fully functional. Until later this year. Then there will be a 64 bit version. I would be careful installing 32 bit programs (ie: daemontools / INCD, Alcohol 120%). As some of these programs install 32-bit shell extensions in windows. And can cause explorer.exe to crash. Or crash 64 bit. Because theyre not compatible with 64 bit

If you try to install a 32 bit driver or program on a W7 64 bit OS, do you get a warning first from W7 that it is incompatible?

It wont let you install the driver. I think it blocks it. It probably wont warn you about 32 bit programs, because 64 bit supports them. I dont think it'll warn you that its not compatible. You'll find that out for yourself. Or make sure you read what it says on the site (you download it from) before you download / install it

If you have to, try using a program like Tux Guitar or powertab, if they have 64 bit iterations. Tux guitar is open source and supports GP files, I use it to convert newer ones to an older format for my GP. Unfortunately, it can't take advantage of the RSE engine though, that's GP's territory. At least I think so, anyway.

yeah a pretty easy way of getting the feel of a song as well as reading a tab, also being able to put my own stuff in it is good

looking to install ultimate tomorrow so will post back if any problems or not.

on a different note, i've installed office 07 on my laptop and the desktop, will reinstalling it use up the 3rd 'install' ' of the software or is fine coz it's the same hardware/laptop ?
