Around my workplace for the last few years, people have been abbreviating years as "two oh six" and "two oh nine". Used to drive me mad, like we'd travelled back in time about 1800 years...

I'm going to go for twenty ten, and hope it catches on...

I prefer "2 years before the end of the world."

I prefer "2 years before the end of the world."

But the world has already come to an end.

I am but a figment of your imagination!!

Twenty ten

The BBC are already unsure what they will call it (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/6897583/BBC-stars-discuss-how-to-pronounce-2010.html)
