Re-installed Win7 Ult and now having problem in installing MSN live messenger with unknown error. Have tried a couple of times already with the same error!

It's MSN's issue of my PC?

If you really need to use it, then you can use the online one temporarily?

Jamuz, I'm having problem in installing Windows Live Messenger (MSN).

Downloaded the Chinese Ver and installed OK and works but would like to have the English version.

Did you try downloading Messenger from Windows live (http://download.live.com/) - its a small setup file that once run allows you to select various components of Live to install, including messenger. ??

What firewall is installed? Only thing I can find with that 0x80072f76 error is, its a windowsupdate prob. And a firewall maybe blocking something

No firewall installed, only Avast Home. Windows fully updated.

Sweet :banana. Ive killed it on this. And on the other PC. As it can block things from updating as well. Did you run it as admin before? That may have been the prob. Must have be an access / permission prob
