Hi, just wondering, I did send a fax from the public library for $4 flat fee for any job (local number). Now I fixed my laptop which is the only one with a fax modem - had to reghost the 2nd time.

Anyway. I saw Xnet has a fax service. It says people can fax to this ## and they can foward the fax to your fax # or to your email.

Cool. But how can you send them a fax if you don't have a fax modem? Is it possible to email to them and they fax it off for you?

Or is Xnet only for receive fax only?

Cheers :D

Hi Nomad
I assume it is email to fax and fax to email service what you are after.
There are various providers.
Xnet, 2talk, digital island and others. I know Digital island has a very reliable service and it costs a base fee and a certain amount per "fax" you are sending. 2talk and xnet have that as part of the VOIP srvice.
Just as a brief explanation;
When I send a fax I write a document and convert to PDF attach it to an email with the recipient fax no in the subject line and send it through the fax service email account. The recipient then receives the fax. The other way round I receive an email with the fax attached as a pdf.
Hope this is clear enough:)
No fax machines needed and obviously no modem!

Xnet is inbound fax only, 2Talk does inbound and outbound faxing.
