Hmmm. I used to own a .303 and a .22 but don't now. Currently I do own a .177 air pistol.

I was under the impression that most NZ farms have one or more fireams.

If you want some hitting power use a crossbow.

The point I would make is that in New Zealand you can buy a crossbow and you do not have to have a firearm licence or have a police clearance.

I would also make the point that people kill people with the weapon they have at hand at the time they choose to do so.

So if I choose to kill it matters not what I use to do so.

And that would be my point too.

Although I own NO firearms, I am kinda sad that they (persons in general) have such a knee-jerk reflex when they are mentioned - and of course adding any one territory or nation as the most heinously-possessive of a singular mentality by buying guns or using them is just rife with hate, malcontent and a suspiciously confirmed dislike for one's own mother.

- - - I further state that crimes of passion, crimes of murder and mayhem take place with whatever instrumentality is at hand.
