View Full Version : Disconnection on Garena

Hi, I am lanning currently with my friend and we use the VPN client, Garena, to play War3 LAN games with other people from NZ.

Now, the problem is that whenever the game starts with my friend in it we disconnect from the internet and a modem reboot is required to reconnect. But when my friend plays on WLAN, however, we do not disconnect when the game starts. But WLAN is very unreliable and my friend lags a lot because of it. So, is there anyway to fix this problem? I have a feeling it may be to do with us having the same IP but I am not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

But as I said, I can't use LAN or my internet disconnects as soon as the game starts.

Well either the router, the cable or the NIC are knackered. Replace one, or the other, or all of them. Or try updating the firmware on the router. Or update the game, if you havent yet. Or update the LAN drivers. Dont use the MS ones if you can avoid it. Use the manufacturer's drivers

It WAS a DSL-G604T but I got a new one today, the Netcomm NB6Plus4Wn about to play a game, will see if it works

Mmmm....Not the exactly the most reliable modem :X

That new Netcomm one is supposedly very good and loaded with features, so lets hope it fixes this problem!
