Hi jwil1

It is quite wrong to judge small FM transmitters by the range they can transmit - most no futher than you can spit. :sleep The reason for the short range is due to the law :groan:, not techknowledgly.

Most can be hacked to increase the range to about a 15m + radius.

The original has either inductors and/or resistors on the output, coupled to a short antenna. Simply shortout the resistors etc and lengthen the antenna to about 70 cm. Suddenly you have a real FM Transmitter. Goto HERE (http://www.instructables.com/id/Belkin-Tunecast-II-FM-Transmitter-Mod/) for further information.
