Go to Tools, then Internet Options.

The information you seek is also available via the Help menu.

Gidday Mike ... I will try and move the goalposts closer for you ;)

This should affect *any* program accessing the internet via your modem, including Outlook Express.

In Internet Explorer, click 'Tools', then 'Internet Options'.

Click on the 'Connections' tab, then click once your default internet service provider under 'Dial-up Settings'.

Now click the 'Settings' tab (on the right).

Click the box labelled 'Advanced' on the right hand side, near the bottom of the '(Your Internet Provider) Settings' box.

Finally, a box will appear called 'Advanced Dial Up', with the option to 'Disconnect When The Connection Is No Longer Required' This needs a tick.

Click OK on all boxes to get back and you should be back over the goalposts.

There may be a quicker way of doing this, but if it works all well and good.
