I have three computers and several printers on the same D-Link router. With one computer there is a problem.

The first time I try to access the Internet, the firewall - Comodo - blocks it. So I change it to 'allow all' and all is well. I can turn the firewall back on right away and it no longer blocks. This now works for all applications that need internet access, and lasts for as long as long as the computer is turned on.

Any ideas?

Terry

HI Terry and welcome to PFD1 what operating system are you using XP, Vista, win 7? usually the routers firewall and the windows one are enough to block most nasties unless you do a lot of surfing o dodgy sites so I would consider ditching comodo

Have you set the full range of IP address's from the router through the Firewall ( Not allow all) but you should go into the settings, and set it from 1-255.

Depending on the routers IP address, it would be:
(example) 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255 or 10.1.1.1 -10.1.1.255

Since its sounds like its resetting every time the PC starts, the router may be issuing a different address every time, unless you have a static IP on the PC(s).

A basic question, do you tick remember this answer, when you allow?
Also, What version of Comodo firewall are you using, the 2 series or the 3?
