Looks pretty good to me, what made you go with 1366 socket?

No special reasons, really.

Mate's teenage son wants a PC and we were trying to gather something for him.

Depending on the config, you "can" pick up 1366 Mobo now for the same price as 1156 and the CPU's are very similar 920 vs the 860 price wise.

Pros/Cons

Future proof with 6core+ on 1366 (1156 cant)
The possible socket burn issue on modest to high O/C 1156 (prob short term issue)
Tripple channel ram on 1366
1366 has a longer future on the Intel road map
The 860 is a little more power and heat effient over the 920 CPU
Trpple channel ram requires another stick, although u can run 2 sticks on 1366 if you dont care about tripple channel (many dont realise).

1156 is very much the equivalent to socket 754 vs 939 to AMD, nothing wrong with it but it won't be around as long as 1366. Much like what happened to AMD the prices of the two sockets have narrowed considerably. 1366 is the smarter choice.
