View Full Version : TV NZ Advert

Just had two people call me up asking about a advert on TV 1 ( today, Tuesday 10th) for Satellite Direct (http://satellitedirect.tv/?hop=garmin) $70.07 nz - I'm always a bit wary about these sorts of things - any one got it, heard of it good / bad / indifferent ??

Some of the reviews from google dated August this year are not good.

All indications I have seen on google basically say scam - dont go there - but the question is why is TV NZ channel1 advertising it, it came on again when one guy was talking to me so he said ?????

Theres a few programs that can do that. Its just downloading channels off the internet. Dont know about no bandwidth limits tho. There WILL be depending on who you go through

Yeah Exactly what I was thinking - I advised the people not to buy it, so I wonder why TV NZ are advertising it ???? - Maybe fairgo and do an article on their own scam

Too bad we're not in the US. You could probably do the same thing with Netflix, on the Xbox :p Sounds just as bad. Why have it here, you cant use it

It has a strong smell of scam about it. For example it claims New Zealand has 76 channels and the UK 548.

Whoohoo. New Zealand 76 Channels!!!!!! Where they all been hiding unless they mean Sky Channels..

It doesn't appear to have been released on record as yet, does it? Can't find it anywhere except on Youtube under 100% New Zealand. Tried the NZ iTunes under Milan Borich & Pluto, his band. Interesting to see he was on Bic Runga's Beautiful Collision, as a Finn connection.
