DVI Out of Range message

I recently purchased a LG W2442PA (on strength of PC World's Editors choice - October 2009) that, when I connect to my PC, gives a message DVI Out of Range 74.0Hz/60Hz. I have tried that connection (DVI+P) and the VGA (D Sub) connector - both without any success or image/screen picture. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

I have connected Vi to VGA with adapter PC to TV 0 me long and all good

Sounds like a monitor setting is wrong. Go into its settings

Have you installed the appropriate drivers for that particular monitor, or are you relying on your OS to have the next best thing for the job?
