I've been trying to get streaming to work in Firefox without success. Here's the link (http://www.estherkamkar.com/newpoems-cicada-love.htm) with the mp3 audio file.

So far reading on the net has not helped. Is there a magic formula for this? :)

Thanks and appreciation.

Right Click this link, and select save link as(then you can play with your media player)

Its probably not playing because you don't have the quicktime plugin installed.

Thanks Blam. Yeah FF QT plug is installed. The stream link works fine in IE, just not in FF or Chrome.

What happens when you click the link in my previous post? Can you do a print screen of what happens? Then upload it here:

Are you using an addon to download it? Or an external application(download manager)?

Using standalone IDM

Ok. The problem is every time you try to stream the file in quicktime IDM tries to download it...

I've disabled IDM. The quicktime bar opens in an otherwise blank page (as previously) and the activity icon says 'loading' and 'buffering' but nothing else happens.

It's a thankless task Blam - but thank you for your time and help!! I haven't a clue what's blocking the stream. Checked the firewall, all looks ok there. Streaming in IE works fine.

Update: I nuked the FF Quicktime plugin and pointed the m3u to open with Media Player. That works fine. My friend, whose website it is, uses a Mac so I haven't a clue whether any of this will work for her :)
