Afternoon all.

Im looking for clear easy to follow advice please.

Is there a link to go to to buy the upgrade?

How big is it?

How long does the upgrade take - not the download - the upgrade?

Is this a simple changeover?

You can buy it online at most retailers such as PlayTech, Computer Lounge etc

You cannot download it online(unless you have a subsciption to Technet or have access to MSDNAA)

Upgrade times can vary depending on specs of the machine and amount of data.

About 2-5 hours, some say even more.

the installation comes on a dvd so its quite big. It installed on my ageing pc (see sig) in about 1.5 hours i think.

A lot has to do with the speed of the PC- its been reported many times an upgrade can take anywhere from 2 - 25 hours (that time is not a typo either)

+1 for Wainuitechs thoughts, do a clean install, not an upgrade :)

What do you mean? You mean the files discarded by Windows Upgrade? You can delete those...
