View Full Version : Audio Issues Playing Videos Recorded In DVBViewer

I cannot for the life of me find a combination of filters that will let me view some shows recorded off DVBViewer using Media Player Classic - Home Cinema.

Playing files from TV3 and Prime work fine.

Current audio filters installed are AC3Filter and Monogram AAC codec. They're set up as external preferred codecs. No ffdshow or media splitters whatsoever.

Playback in DVBViewer is fine and the files do play back in VLC. But with VLC, CPU usage is incredibly high.

Anyone else have similar issues? :badpc:

Maybe the windows essential codec (http://www.mediacodec.org/) pack might help...

Well I previously had Klite Codec Mega Pack and that did nothing.

What format are the files recorded in?

It's recorded at a .ts extension. The codecs are H.264 for video and mp4a/aac for audio according to VLC

The audio is a bit tricky, so I just play back stuff in DVBViewer.

One option is to use TSPlayer (free download from DVBViewer.com if you have a licence) - it's a relatively lightweight player.

This tutorial uses the direct show Haali Media Splitter (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_play_ts_files.cfm) in windows media player classic...

That works, and currently is the best way for me, unfortunately...

Haali seems related to the video side of things, and besides, I used FFDshow as well as Klite Codec pack which installed Haali. With no luck
