Hi,

We are currently running our on board graphics card of a Asus P5KPL-AM/PS motherboard, we want to put in a VGA card that we bought, its a PCI express card.

How do we turn of the on board graphics card in order to make the new one work, We do not want to get a conflict between cards.

Cheers!

You dont really need to disable the onboard when installing a Graphic Card, just put it in, install its drivers and away you go - make sure you connect the monitor to the card not onboard ( that may sound stupid, but it catches a lot of people out).

Then once rebooted if you really want to disable the onboard, go into the device manager and disable it.

The only BIOS settings are in advanced / Chipset / Internal Graphics Mode Select.

Disadvantage to doing this - disabling , is if the GFX card ever dies - your stuffed for graphics unless you reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery.

BTW - its on page 2-14 of the manual ;)
