View Full Version : Removing updates

Evening All,
In XP one can go to drive 'c', then to the windows folder, and remove any/all update install files to gain space. ( I saved 183MB the last time ).
My question is, How does one do this in Vista Home Premium? When you right click my computer and open windows folder, nothing looks like XP. I would like to clean this drive but not till I am sure what to do.
A simple explanation would be useful.

Safest way to do it.

Somehow I dont think you can. If it were like XP you could have removed them through ccleaner (by ticking the hotfix uninstallers option). But this doesnt appear in Vista (using ccleaner)

Well thats that then, the Vista drive has plenty of space on it, so it's not as if it were critical. I just like to keep things tidy.I have ccleaner installed on both drives and run it regularly. A great program, and thanks Speedy for recommending it to me last year.
