Hey guys and gals,

I just installed Windows 7 on my PC and am now in need of a way to fax documents. I know it's possible to fax from a PC but don't know how to or what I need. I don't have a fax modem or anything and am hoping someone could recommend one that would work with Windows 7.

Some ISPs have a fax service. You may want to look into it. Even if you don't have a fax modem.

You'll have t get a modem compatible with vista. Then use windows fax & scan. It's about as basic as it gets. You can find quite a few free pc fax programs on the internet. Just try them all until you find one you like

Hi springa886
Best thing after bread and butter is email to fax and fax to email.
An affordable solution is here (http://www.digitalisland.co.nz/products/digital+island+faxbox.html) and here (http://blog.2talk.co.nz/faxmail.html).
So your fax becomes accessible wherever you have email.

I've got a Brother MFC at work purely because it's got the pc fax ability. Basically it means we don't have to saw down a tree a day for the paper, just to screw it up & fire at the bin whatever crap has come through. As far as I know it's the only make to have that function. I'd dearly like to get shot of it, it drinks ink like it's going out of style
