Hi all you techs out there, does anyone have a spare power adapter for an HP printer, model hp deskjet 3650 ? Mine is kaput, no power going through, not getting warm at all. Power spike I think, even though it was on a surge protected multi-board. Can't get into it to change fuse,if there is one.

I have just been to three places and they all told me to buy a new printer. But I like my old one and it will work with my Macbook, even if it won't work with the VISTA machine.

I am happy to buy it off you and pay postage of course. Appreciate any help on this.

LL :)

I've got a box full here but I'm not sure they would suit your model.

If you can give me some details off your old one, like Voltage/Amps/Watts/Model Number etc I'll check.

Ok, it is 18Watt Max
HP Invent AC Power adapter 0950-4397
Input 100-240~500mA 50-60 Hz
Output +32V---500mA Max
+15V---500mA Max

Made in China ASTEC AA22750WR C2 REV: 00

The plug that goes into the back of the printer is of a blue/green colour and it is like a sort of three prong connector thing.
I guess it has to be exactly the same to fit this printer

Cheers LL

Check under any little rubber feet and/or the label for screws. If it has any, they'll be hidden

Only two screws on the thing, don't worry, thats the first thing I did to see if it had a replaceable fuse. Three other guys at different shops had a look too. No way to get into it without jemmying it apart.

There are usually plastic latches down the sides around the seam where the 2 halves come together.

Usually a flathead screwdriver in the right place will open them. The trick is knowing where they are first. I expect a proper service manual would tell you where.

You could get a replacement one from HP I'm sure too but it would be expensive...
