Hi, a guy at my work has scanned thousands of family slides using a slide scanner as graphic files and now wants to watch them on a DVD player as a slide show.

aNy ideas about a software we could use to do this?

Thanks

If he's using Vista, or even XP movie maker might work. If its a standalone DVD player, it would have to support jpg

Vista has something called DVD Maker. You could use that if you have Vista

Or, use this:

Picasa3, free from Google, will create movies from images.

Personally, I use Proshow Gold but you have to pay for this.

There are free online software services that can convert images to video such as video spin (http://www.videospin.com/Redesign/) and a relatively new service animoto (http://animoto.com/). There are others e.g. cuts, video thang, jumpcut, etc. Some free video editors (http://pcsourcepoint.blogspot.com/2009/04/free-online-and-computer-video-editing.html) I reviewed. But with thousands of images, I'm not sure what the limitations are for free versions...
