Hi,
Using ff 3.5.2 sometimes the red cross "stop loading page" gets ghosted and doesn't work. I suspect it's loading ads and stops you stopping the ads getting delivered but I don't really don't know. I've had a look on the internet but can't find anything exactly right. Anybody got any info on this? Maybe it's a conflict with another program.
XP pro
Malwarebytes
CCleaner
AVG
Windows firewall
Any ideas much appreciated.m

Pressing your "Escape" key does the same thing. Maybe try that instead?

Yes thanks, and Ctrl + R does too, but I was wondering what causes this ghosting.

Start it in safe mode, which is firefox in a fresh new profile and without any addons.

Run>firefox -safe-mode

Hmm well thanks for that but I don't really want to operate in safe mode.

No, the point of this is to test whether if its firefox itself that is the problem or addons/profile!

Oh I see. So I go start/run> space hyphen safe hyphen mode. OK. Never knowingly added any add-ons. I'll give it a try and get back to you. At a different computer right now.
